As I sat in the parking lot with a young lady, I was overcome with the kind of courage it had taken her to join me at the local support group. She was facing a huge giant in herself, a mammoth mountain of hurt and rejection that had been building up since her earliest memories. She was about to come face to face with her “goliath”. And yet she courageously walked through those church doors.
Very few of us have the desire to walk through the river of pain that flows from deep within, but the only way to find true healing is to trudge through the mucky waters. You see, with each step forward we are saying…. "God I trust you." The future might look really scary and uncertain but we need to be willing to come face to face with the giants in our lives that are trying to destroy us.
God is so faithful and will meet each of us where we are at and give us the courage to be overcomers.
Joshua 1:9 “ ….Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
